Welcome to Philipsburg Public School's web page. Philipsburg is the jewel
of the Pintlar Scenic Route. Situated 54 miles from Butte and 78 miles from
Missoula, there is always something going on in the area. Philipsburg has
been known lately as a prime tourist destination. In fact,
Montana's first-ever community of the year award was recently presented to
Philipsburg and our town was also named one of the five prettiest painted towns in
America by the National Paint Institute.
Along with many other old buildings, Philipsburg's Elementary
School is one of the
prime tourist attractions to the
area. In fact, it is one of the
oldest schools still in use in
Montana. In 1996, the town
celebrated the 100th anniversary
of the school. Even though it is
over 100 years old, it is still
in great condition and a major
renovation project was finished
on it in the spring of 2005. |
