Superintendent
Of Philipsburg
Public Schools--
Mr. Mike Cutler

    SUPERINTENDENT'S OVERVIEW

Mike Cutler graduated from Granite High School in 1988. After attending Western Montana College to play football, he transferred to The University of Montana and graduated with a bachelors degree in Health and Human Performance. Mike went on to teach in Denton, Montana for three years.  While he was there, he taught K-12 Physical Education. He served as the Athletic Director and was the head football and track coach. Coming from the western part of the state, Mike decided that he wanted to be closer to home so he took a job in Townsend as the high school Physical Education teacher, Athletic Director, and Head Football coach. His second year in Townsend, Mike became the Broadwater High School Principal.

The opportunity to come back to Philipsburg was presented to him as he was offered the Superintendent position here in Philipsburg, Montana. It was always a dream of his to have a chance to give back to Philipsburg what it gave to him while he was going to school here.  He hopes to make this his last place to teach and administer public schools.

Mike married Jody Vietor in 1997 and they have two wonderful kids. Sydney, who was born 11-23-99; and Kade, who was born 10-21-02. Mike enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and two children. He also enjoys any and all types of athletics. His number one hobby is snowmobiling, which he enjoys with a lot of the local Philipsburg residents.
